The Midwest Maule Roundup
I realize, of course, that I'm one of the new guys on the block. But I was thinking we could have a gathering of Maules and those who fly them at the Kentucky airport that I manage. (KI96). Perhaps Spring or early Summer would be a good time. We've got plenty of space for parking and camping, an adjacent public lake (big pond) which is next to the 18 hole golf course. We could grill some pork shoulder with all the fixins.
Maybe Jeremy would show up. YellowMaule might even come down to the lower 48 and help me get my courage/skill up for some off airport stuff.
So what are your thoughts and interest levels? Looking at the roster of Maule owners their are several who are within a reasonable xcountry.

Sounds like a GO.
Yea, I should have mentioned that I96 is in Columbia, KY which is in south central KY, between Bowling Green and London. The camping will be primative but we'll keep the lobby and hangars open 24 hours. I appreciate everyone's response and encouragement. I'll work on a date. In my pea brain, if only three or four maules and their drivers show it will be a success for the first year. This is the airport where Ray Maule Jr flies into every year and loads up a bunch of birds, the fate of which, I'm not sure. But maybe we can get him back in here. I need ideas to make it fun and interesting so keep your thoughts and comments coming. doug cell 270-250-3595
