Emergency shut off valve

Post by chestermiller »

While removing pull cable that was bent back around emergency fuel shut off valve to repair leak at valve on M5 210 continental header tank, I broke off one half of forked valve shaft. Valve is obsolete from maule. Would someone know where I may find one of these valves? cnmiller65@msn.com

This probably won't help as yours is physically broken but I knew I had seen a service letter for a "repair kit".

There is an older thread related to this valve somewhere on this site I believe.

WUP from ABI was looking for one of these valves here a couple of weeks ago, you might check with him and see if he came up with a substitute? The kit supplied with the Maule service letter is just the packings and a roll pin to rebuild the guts, won't help you with the broken fork.

Wup was looking for me and we did not come up with a sub. I was able to rebuild my valve but no luck with a sub valve.

I don't remember what our valve looks like. I wonder if this might substitute?

Jim, Still unable to locate a shut off valve. May try to replace with remote two way valve from wag-aero. Model sku g-628000. It will require permission from the FAA. May wait a while and see if a used valve still might pop up. Chet
