Schneider Racing Slicks

Anyone ever used them? They were STC'd for the Maules and a pair is for sale up here. I have seen them on Supercubs and if I remember right they are about 32" on a 14" wheel adapter. Just looking into it. If anyone has paperwork I would be very interested in a copy.

never used them...but...

bob schneider lives in paw paw, michigan. and he has the STC paperwork. i'm sorry i no longer seem to have his phone number, but maybe this will help you to find him.
i tracked him down for an STC for his skis. nice guy.....

Thanks for the help. A quick internet search showed and RT Schneider in Paw Paw, MI. I am going to try the number tomorrow. Anyone else know a way to get ahold of the STC Holder? It is Richard J Schneider as listed with the FAA although it sounds like he either goes by Bob or Bob is responsible for the sales.

robert is richard's brother. robert has all the tooling and paperwork back in michigan.

Long story on chasing guys down but still no luck in finding Bob Schneider. I have heard rumors he really dosen't want to be contacted.

I bought a pair of the adapter w/ tires and am looking for the paperwork. If anyone knows of someone who might have the install instructions I would appreciate a copy of the paperwork. To date I have a copy of the blueprints on the adapters but no instructions. It is a simple process to be sure but I need them for the 337. Another route would be if someone had a copy of a field approval (337) that I could get a copy of, showing it has been done before. I would appreciate a copy of anything to be used for help with the install. Schneider couldn't be located for several reasons and it is my understanding he sold the STC a while ago. The FAA doesn't show any records on the transfer. I am also looking for anyone that knows how to get ahold of the new guys that own it. I heard they might be in B.C. Canada. Thanks for the help,

You might try contacting Anchorage ACO and see if they have records of where he might be? They're supposed to keep info current? Here's what's on FAA sight for info on STC including telephone for ACO... Don't think you'll be able to get a field approval as I don't think tires are TSO'd and I know it's FAI's policy 'no non-TSO'd tires' anymore without STC? Good luck!
