I would install NAS bolts in the top of the oleos first!!!!!!!!!!

turns out I have a leak. So I need to pull them out. And planning to replace the bolts too. I was looking for good instructions on this site for how to replace the seals on the oleo?

Not cutting the new seals as they go in is the trick. Buy a half dozen or so. They are cheap and that way you won't be grounded while you wait for delivery of more... Pretty detailed instructions with a search. I can find the seal part number but I posted it on the last thread on the topic.

Brake pads for dbl puck calipers:
Cleveland #066-10600

Olio o-rings:
2 AN6227B-27 or MS28775-222 (this is the bigger one)
2 AN6227B-14 or MS28775-116
These can be found under brake parts at Aircraft Spruce.

Where does Oleo normally leak? Looks like mine are leaking through the bottom of the oleo canister (tube) and dripping down the inside of the tube. If thats the case does the whole tube need to be replaced?

If you end up needing a new one, I have the right side oleo from my stock gear (are they interchangeable from side to side?).

They will fit on either side, however, if you put a right on the left then the fill port will be on the bottom instead of the top where its suppose to be.

I have both oleo tubes and gear legs which I removed when fitting Airframes Alaska extended main gear. Not sure what shipping would be from Scotland, but PM me if you canâ€™t find one nearer home.

Thanks for the help guys. I've found the hole in the strut tubes and attempting to seal them up.

It looks to me that if you have the spring assembly inserted in the tube at the wrong angle then the bolts that hold the spring on can puncture the bottom of the tube. Or at least barely nick the edges and cause very small holes. The other option might be to grind the last bolt down so it doesn't stick out so much. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?

It is hard to tell from the pic that you took of the bottom mount, it almost looks like it is cracked at the edge of the weld. I just installed extended gear today and both of the uni-balls in the main gear where the bottom of the oleos attach were cracked. Make sure while you have things apart you check those also.....

Yes. Have new NAS bolts to put in there. I've seen the 50 posts on this forum about replacing those bolts with the NAS ones.

I don't have a good picture of the cracks. I took some pics with my borescope and have not transferred them to the computer yet. Needed the bore scrape because the cracks are deep down in the tube.

When I put a flashing strobe in one end and look through the other end you could see very small pulses of light! so there was definitely a hole in it. And the hole did not show from the outside of the tube, it was between the two different tube shapes.

I'll upload a picture later to help clarify this.
