New instrument panel

Post by Duane »

Well folks, Yesterday, 02/12/2019 we finally got approval for the new modular instrument panels. The big thing is that the frame will remain fixed in the dash and the face of the panel is removable for easy access to the rear of the panels. This new panel is guaranteed to get you on your avionics tech's Christmas card list! Brent posted a few pics on various facebook pages.

Yes it can, however, it involves replacing completely the left and right instrument panels. It's a 100% different animal.

Duane Is this similar to what Susan did in her panel on the M4

Nice, looks like it just bolts in place where the old one was.

Now I just need to figure out how to rework the lower panel on the left side so my knee is not piled into the panel.

Kirk, Susan's didn't have the removable panels. Ty said they just made some new face panels that only included what instruments she was installing.

How much $ for the frame? My panel is currently sitting on the hangar floor, and was planning a carbon panel from Carbon Concepts, but if that could be made modular, all the better 8)

Interesting idea. I don't think they have priced it out yet seeing as how new this all is. I'll pass it along and see what they say.

+ 1 on the price request Duane. My panel is also out at the moment. It would be a great time to upgrade.
