If you are talking about the main leaf springs use Airframes Alaska and get the heavy duty one.

Maule tail spring leafs are 1.5" wide
ABW or Scott leafs are 1.75" and will not fit in the Maule turntable housing.

my rear wheel had been replaced by a new one that has less than 300 hours and unfortunately springs have a 1.5' wide.....and I'd rather not have to replace my wheel ..... if possible.......

I imagined that the manufacturer had the obligation to provide the original parts as long as the certificate of the aircraft exists .... This is the case under EASA regulations.....
Very bad for me with my Maule on ground!!!!!

There are many Maule owners who have changed over to the Scott 3200 and later to the ABW system. I presume those owners still have the old Maule system in back of their hangar.
Check barnstormers, and try backcountryconnections.com and then backcountrypilots.org forum.

Eh Jeremy I contacted backcountry.....and the answer....

The ABI tailsping kit will not work with that tailwheel. You need a spring direct from maule

Agreed, Wup is correct but I was thinking he or someone on the BCP forum may have an old used spring leaf to get you up and flying

With the number of people that have upgraded to the ABW Tailwheel or just Scott there should be some springs out their in someone's hanger.

Hi Jubert,

I also have a set of the original factory tail springs. I removed them when I fitted an ABW baby bushwheel and ABW spring.

J'ai également un jeu de resorts d'origine ici en Écosse.

Vous pouvez me téléphoner +44-7802-916995. Vous trouverez mes autres coordonnées sur www.glenswinton.co.uk

Cordialement
Peter.
