There are 2 things wrong with this ad that was run in AOPA, EAA Sport Aviation, and Trade-A-Plane last month. Did anybody else catch it?

yeah that is what I was referring to...nothing like advertising for the competition and looking dumb in the process.

Re: TCM AD
First of all welcome to the Maule club.flyingskyhawk wrote:The airplane is not powered by a Lycoming, it is a Diamond DA20 C1 with a TCM IO240. TCM also has a DA20 with a IOF240 (FADEC electronic controled). The early models used a Rotax 912. The DA20 is a two seat and can't carry three anglers.
Your information on the DA-20 is accurate, however the aircraft pictured in the ad is not a DA-20. The dead give-away is the hershey bar style, squared off wingtip and the white position light on the vertical stab that extends through the horizontal. All of the Diamond fleet have upsloped wingtips and continueously curving lines. This is a design carried forward from their glider production days. The Diamond also hase a more delta shaped horizontal stab mounted on the very top of the vertical...it does not have a place to mount the white tail position light that is seen in the photo.
