EBay Maule for sale, no reserve

Post by Russnrenea »

Hey guys, a no reserve Maule is up for sale on eBay. I know a couple of people on the forum are looking to buy. Maybe this could be a good deal for someone,

And no, it's not me selling it, just a unique place to buy a Maule so thought I would post the link for others to see,

It will be interesting to see what is sells for.

Didn't mean to exclude your aircraft!!

Your right on the Non- VAR crank will need replacement at overhaul.

It does always catch my attention when someone sells an aircraft on eBay with no reserve.

Best of luck on selling,

Russ

I'd be interested in the Franklin if it's for sale separately?

I assume that's the one in Kentucky getting recovered / project? I sent him a question off ebay, we'll see what he says... How you doing Jim? What kind of projects you got going these days?

IO360 would probably cost between $30K and $40K at an engine shop, plus prop which is no longer available and can be replaced with another new prop for around $7K.... That makes for one expensive M5!!! Although if you kept it for 20yrs and flew a good bit, at least you'd know what you had? Then on top of that, some day it'll need a recover? HHHhhhmmmm

I have an M5-210c that has less than 100 hours on the engine and prop overhaul. About 1700 TT. Plus mine has new fabric and paint and glass and interior and a super skylight and patroler doors. 2500 gross weight.
What do you guys think a plane like that would be worth??

Factory 0-time IO-360 was about $28K + shipping about two years ago. That includes a new, light weight starter, a new alternator and new mags. They even supplied spark plugs! The only things that didn't come with it was the vacuum pump and prop governor.
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Whatever someone will pay!! Probably have a difficult time getting out of it what's been invested... Especially in the current deflated airplane marketplace?
