Compass in panel - where?

Post by Stefan »

Dear all

I would like to move the compass in the panel in order to fit a little self contained, portable ADS-B unit on top.

Now, has any of you a compass in the dash and in what position? I am slightly concerned about the eletrical field from a IFR rack and autopilot gyros... creating much distraction.

Many thanks Stefan

For many years, when avionics were larger, and the radio stack higher, Maule factory placed the compass directly in front of the pilot.
