What does your M7 weigh?

Post by bigwheel »

I'm looking @ purchasing a Maule M7-235B in the near future & empty weight is one of the top items on my list. I'm trying to find the high & low parameters for M7 empty weights. If Maules are like all other STOL aircraft the weights are going to be all over the board & advertised E.W. means nothing. So if anybody is willing to post there M7 empty weight & how it's equipped (year, model, prop, tires, doors, radios, etc.) I would very much appreciate it. I'm mainly interested in the M7-235B but would be interesting to see all different M7 weights.

My 2004 M-7 235C I'm sure is one of the heavy one's. It's around 1725 to 1750lbs range. I would have to look I don't remember the exact weight.

Mine has just about everything that adds the weight up - spring gear,IFR panel, auto pilot,8.50's, 3 blade prop

Depending on the model and the equipment, engine, seats, prop, avionics, interior, paint, gear, tyres, etc etc the M7-235s I have seen over the years can weigh from 1500 to 1750lbs.
