Baggage door holder
What great ideas are owners using for a baggage door holder? Gas strut? Slide lock? ??

Re: Baggage door holder
For the rear passenger door I hook a bungee on the door knob then wrap the other end around the rear strut.
Never came up with anything slick for the baggage door. I just let it hang and prop some luggage against it if the wind is blowing it around. One of those things that bugged the heck out of me the first few years, then just lived with it.

That's what I do, as well.. And I'd sure like to find a better way. I saw a pic of a gas strut on the door but can't find it.Kirk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 1:52 pmFor the rear passenger door I hook a bungee on the door knob then wrap the other end around the rear strut.

Share that pic if you find it.
I’ve never put any effort into investigating something that could be done as a minor mod or maybe 337. I do like having the door fold all the way back as it already does and don’t know if a strut could allow that much travel.

I also use a bungee wrapped around the inside handle of the door and one of the wing struts. Holds the door open nicely and nothing is in danger of being scratched. Rear door just stays open.
