You might want to tell Scott to shorten the inner lap belt strap by 6" (the one with the latch) and lengthen the other side by 6". There's a lot of slack when you adjust the inner lap belt with the latch so that the shoulder belt crosses over your chest properly.

Great info, thanks Andy!
Just to confirm, all 4 or just the rear?

Just the rear sling seat lap belts. I didn't change my front seat belts from the ones that Maule Flight installed. The inertial reels aren't near the occupants' heads in the front seats.

Carl, here's a photo of the bottom of the rear sling seat with the cushion off and the Hooker Harness belts fed through.

Carl, I shortened up the lap belt strap with the latch as much as possible and fed the slack down through the hole in the sling seat. You have to shorten that belt up until it's just long enough not to interfere with the latch operation. It helps to have the slack under the seat out of the way.

Re: Hooker Harness Seatbelts, M5
Hello all, New M7-235 owner and although I have read the posts for years I'am now planning upgrades to my bird. I will be putting Hooker harness in both from seat positions. This post has great explanations and images. My question is: Would you decrease the bulky lap padding? is that an Option? What size webbing is recommended? I wanted owners input before I call HOOKER directly. Thank You!! Kyle
