New Alaskan pilot to the forum looking for a Maule

Post by MobileandMonitoring »

I just wanted to say hello after joining the forum! I'm a new instrument rated private pilot working towards my commercial license. I'm currently looking to purchase a plane and a Maule M5 is at the top of my list. If there are any Maule pilots in the Mat-Su Valley or Anchorage area that ever want to chat Maules I'd love to talk to a Maule owner sometime and hear about what it's like owning one. I also love taking photos of owners planes if interested.

Welcome to the Maule Forum! That's a nice Maule photo that you posted. I think those are 35" bushwheels with 10" wheels.

Thanks it's a beautiful plane. I keep trying to catch the owner when he's around but never have met the guy.

Welcome! I'm a little far away but if you're ever down in Juneau let me know. I know a few Maule owners up in the Anchorage area. PM me you details and I can forward on to one or two of them. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help on your aviation journey..

I have an M7 and my brother also has one based at Birchwood, if you want to chat sometime about them shoot me a text, I’ll pm my number to you. We love our planes and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend purchasing one, don’t think there is another plane as capable for the price.

Any of you Birchwood guys know Charles Paldanius? He used to own my M-5 and it was based there. Looked like this when I picked it up at Lake Hood.
