Hi folks,
Trying to decide on which new ELT to install. Anybody have any experience with the Artex 345? On the surface, it looks like one of the best deals in terms of features for cost. I like that it doesn’t have a battery in the remote switch.
Anybody got a better candidate in the sub $700 range?

That looks like a great unit except for the ugly antenna, Can it legally be mounted inside the tail?

Andy, you'll like the 345. I use a piece of two wire shielded to wire the remote. The remote in this unit does not have an additional internal battery which is sometimes a problem in other units.

That is a really clean installation. Thanks! When I am ready for a change, that's the way I am going to go.
