Hi John, I have a MX7-180C which is very similar, if not exactly the same fuselage as the M5. I live near Charlotte NC, based at AKH. I would be happy to show you around my MX7. Send me a direct message if you want to get together

I have a Maule M5-210C. It's my compliment to a RV6. And for the same reason. Needed a family plane with a 6yr old in the back. Plus can do some back country flying. The continental IO-360 is a good engine. I was a lycoming engine guy before I got it but I'm happy with it.

What happened to all the listings on Barnstormers? Seems that we are in a drought of airplanes for sale at the moment.

I thought I had my airplane deficit solved with a recently restored Piper Pacer but the deal fell through so I’m still hunting for a Maule or similar family plane.

I've owned both - a Maule is a lot more airplane than a Pacer even though the genetics are the same.

Understood. At this point I just need something to stick my wife and son in...condition is more important to me than type.
