Interior

Post by SkyMaule »

Guys,
I'm really excited about the new interior being put in my airplane this week. I was really only going to put a new headliner in. I got a quote for that and was also given a one time only price on a whole new interior. I just couldnt say no. I saw the seats today. They are beautiful. I really think Maule should hire these guys to do a premium interior package option on the new maules. I'll post some photos when it is finished.

Geez! I am jealous! A new interior? I bet it is going to have that new airplane smell that does not come out of a can!

I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Here are a few photos of the work in progress. Should be done on Monday.

Rod, how are the fly-in plans coming?

Man OH Man I really like that seat it looks comfy. It doesn't take much imagination to see how plush it will look when finished. Very Cool.
Enjoy the new comfy look!

Go ahead... ruin my day and tell me that seat only weighs 5 pounds.

They look great. I have Oregon Aero's in my plane and I think they are the very last option I would give up. Good seats should not be underestimated. They broadcast a message: "Your ass is important to us".

One suggestion: do something to paint or powder coat that windshield V-brace black. Otherwise, reflections will ruin every picture you shoot out the front. How do I know???

Not sure what the seats weigh. I will get that info. Oh, the v braces. I think what you're seeing is masking tape. These guys are very careful and detailed.

Your original interior didn't look that bad. Mine was in "whore house crushed red velvet" I have no idea what they were thinking when they put the interior in mine

Jody, That was BD's favorite color. If he had his way, every single plane would have been in that material and color.. :)

Thats a hell of a panel upgrade. I bet that must have cost almost 50 or 60 bucks..

SkyMaule, Your NEW plane looks super! I bet you needed a mortgage for that new panel (drool, drool!). I don't even recognize half that stuff!

One question though. Do you get HD TV? 8)

The Fly-In is coming along great! Already have about 15-20 pilots that said it is on their calendar. Should be a fun time. You thinking about coming? Love to see your plane in person. I promise to wear one of those bibs they put on you when eating lobster! You know, the kind with little pockets at the bottom to catch the run off.

Rod,
I don't think I'll be able to make it out there, though I'd love to. It sounds like it would be a great time. One of my boys is getting married right around that time. Between that and the panel upgrade, I'm outa money!

The other panel is a citation encore.

Mark,

What was the insullation used on the boot cowl?

Looks like foil bubble stuff?

Thanks

not sure what it is called. It is rubber-like with aluminum backing. It has sound proofing and insulating qualities.
