MX7-180 Battery to firewall?

MX7-180 Battery to firewall?

Has anyone gone through the process of moving a battery from its original location under the seat to the firewall? I'm thinking it should be doable since the 160 has a firewall mounted battery. Any advice on getting the CG forward is appreciated.

I have an MX7-180C and it came from the factory with the battery on the engine side of the firewall. That suggests Maule Air already has approval for that setup.
