PK 2300 float fittings/ weld in fittings

So I realize that there are weld on float fittings from Maule that then require another bracket that bolts up to them on the outside of the fabric to then attach the rear float struts.
I have PK 2300 BOLT on float fittings that capture the lower longeron cluster for the rear float struts. Has anyone used the PK floats with the Maule weld in float brackets? Or is this only an option for Aqua/Edo? I would like to try and use the weld on option with the PK floats.
