Rear Baggage Panel Dimensions

Post by wtxdragger »

Does anybody have the dimensions for the Rear Baggage Panel in an M7?
I found some guys that will make me a replacement panel with the Molle cutouts. I want to get my loose gear out of the floor, and thought the Molle Panel might be a good idea.

I have the 1242X drawing from the M7 manual, but it doesn't have the measurements.I can also get the measurements from my panel, but it wouldn't have the correct profile.

I emailed and called tech support at Maule for dimensions on panel I needed to replace.
They sent me the completed drawing right away.

Any updates on your molle panel idea? I also have some stuff sitting on the rear floorboard I wouldn't mind securing a little better if this is working out for you.

The Molle panel idea won't work for me because there are too many loose items and not enough space on the panel. Instead I use a Rubbermaid Brute 14 gallon plastic storage bin that fits nicely in the baggage compartment and is big enough to hold everything except my Bogie bar and sun shield. I keep them between the storage bin and the rear seat so they won't fly around in turbulence or a bumpy landing.

I sent my rear baggage panel to them to have it copied.
I wanted to get the tie downs located in the correct spots.

I'll update as soon as I get It back.
