That cowl would be an owner fabricated or field approval part. I suppose it could just be a log book entry. It really is a beautiful cowl and I would love to see it reproduced. The owner at one point said he would work with me if I could find someone to pull a mold.
This cowl reduces weight significantly as it is not only carbon fiber, but it also eliminates the stock M4 220 intake ducting in favor of a NACA scoop. I’m told it cools better and also adds a few MPH since it gets rid of the flat nose.
