Hi,
What's all the rave about changing props on a 220 Franklin?
I have the Mc Cauley 2a34c22-n S84SF-6 prop.
Prop has only 600 hrs but, has sat idle for 26 years.
also, who specializes in this prop near DFW?
Thanks
Prop

Switching to the bigger C201 prop gave me a noticeable improvement on takeoff performance when on floats. I was able to confirm this by flying an M5 with my old prop within the same week as flying my M4 with the bigger prop. Aircraft continues to climb and accelerate, no hesistation, when the floats break free of the water.
I haven’t done a good comparison on wheels with the two props, but based on the dramatic difference in performance results on floats, I speculate that there is a similar performance gain on wheels. Really would be cool to have a rig made up to test static thrust!
