Armrests

Good day all,

While flying with my daughter this weekend, she professed that she missed the armrests in my Cessna. Anybody have any insight into building them into the front door? I'd lose the utility of the door pockets, or at least part of them, anyway. But wondering if anyone has outfitted their machine with them.

Thanks!
Chris

Probably not too much help for you unless you have a set of patroller doors but used a couple of suction cups from Ram, couple pieces of plexiglass, a little aluminum angle, and some double stick tape to create these. Easy enough to move to fit any size or height arm.

I think there is a link somewhere here also where Andy Young did a pretty nifty job of armrest. May be a little more adaptable for non glass doors.

Here's the link to the thread about the one I made.

Since this was posted, I changed the main attaching piece (the log vertical one) to a piece of round tubing, flattened on each end and drilled to secure to the door with screws. The original wasn't strong enough.

Another cool idea. Thanks for sharing that.
