Seat Back Angle

Post by gbarrier »

Anybody played with and measured their seat back angle?

The pilots seat back on our M6 tilted back about an inch or two farther than the right one at the same position. I knew that the frame had been repaired with a gusset some time ago and I figured the angle had been altered. I had a couple of old (even older) M5 seats so after reworking the frame to M6 dimensions I refoamed the old seat, Put my original cover on it and installed it. Much to my surprise it now sits up much straighter than the right one and is almost unuseable by us tall guys. Guess ill pull it back out and tilt it a little to match the right one, just not as much as the old one was.

How about the later extended frame seats? I understand that they go back a little farther which we don't really need but how about height. Also, I know they use a different rear support. Does these supports attach to the same place (tabs) on the floor(fuselage) as the earlier ones?
