Flap handle mod

Post by TSUDTELL »

I See on other post that seatbelts or a person size makes it hard to grab the flap arm. In my case I'm about two inches short, now I don't flame me butt, can anyone see a problem with putting a 2 inch piece of foam underneath the handle on the floor to let it not go all the way down it's still in the loose area of the cables?
I'm new to the form maybe the stuff tlike this is not talked about on here. Just let me know.

You can get an updated flap handle from Maule that is angled up instead of flat on the floor. Simple bolt in and around $100 which is pretty cheap in airplane dollars.
I can't remember if I fired six shots, or only five.....

I have a bent handle in my M5 and even being vertically challenged, I can reach the handle and still maintain vision over the glare shield.

Very simple and fewer moving parts than an after market rig.
