The low pitch on his is set at 12.5 and high is 25. Anybody know the pitch specs on a 210 for a 82" c203?

Old hubs oil filled, required red dye in hub in case of cracks, oil leakage, etc... Is an AD note.... Grease filled hub is newer style.... the D or Blank 2A I think are interchangeable, but require different spinners due to their change in dowel location, I think, would be worth a call to McCauley Tech Service, as I'm sure they can clarify as there is no application data on the TCDS as with the straight 2A... Have you got a yellow tag on the 2A you're trying to sell?

Oh I'm not trying to sell one I'm trying to buy one, the c203 greased hub is the one I found. No yellow tag as it is first run prop. Just logbooks since new 1992. Having dominion open it up and inspect for corrosion as a pre purchase inspection and to do my low pitch stops. Ended up getting it for 2000 bucks with inspection. Dominion only valued it as 1000 to 1500 but figured if he would toss in inspection it was fair.

So prop shop ended up recommending 10.7 for the c203 low pitch stop on the 82" at 2800rpm. Anybody else running a 82" have a number to verify this is correct?

That's ballpark as all are slightly different depending upon engine HP, etc... Better to be slightly flat than other way as the governor will catch it at redline after adjusting... Jerry has done several of these, so he's pretty good as far as knowing numbers.

So jerry set my new prop based on the Cessna 172xp low pitch stop. But he forgot to mention a 172 xp is derated to 195hp! Crap! Looks like she will be going back in fir a second 350$ adjustment. Moving down to 9. 7 degrees per the Isham conversion on the 172 to bump the rpm up and get 210 instead of 195. He had set it at 10.7.

Can anyone else confirm that the 2a34c203 will run smooth? Or is the d2a34c203 smoother as I'm expecting? Getting mixed info in this thread. Sounds like both will work but I'm not happy with the 2a model. Would like to try a d2a or a regular factory c67 to feel the difference.

did you ever get a chance to try the D2A version and compare the two. One thing I noticed about the 2A is that is not well placed for a prop start.

If the original was a dowel position d, it seems to make the most sense to replace it with a d: replace the D2A34C67 with the D2A34C203.

Sure would like this thing at 82" not 80". I know it has been done. Any thoughts on pushing one through on a field approval at 82".

Mine is in the correct position to hand prop as I recall. Never did get to try a c67 or a d2a. Id like to try a regular stock c67 76". The EAA has a dynamic balancer. It made it butter smooth. Highly recommended
There's some other threads on here about getting them field approved. Sounds like some have had luck.
