Oh, yea... I left something off of the wish list!

We want leading edge slats, Fowler Flaps AND flaperons! 8) These are supposed to be STOL aircraft, right? A little inovation from the factory?

I am sure that is all possible with enough time and money (both the company's and yours). 8)

My m5 project has droop tips that give another foot of wingspan, and the are 6" more droop than a standard m5 droop tip. I'll post pics this weekend, but anybody know what these are?

But the 86 can only be on floats or larger then 8.50 tyres. For legal clearance.

Are the tips not legally used without the floats?

I have a set of M5 wings with bent spars. Just bought a new set and decided to use old set for parts. Their not worth fixing, tree impact on both sides. Whats a foot of straight spar worth to a guy for wing extension material?

How did this affect performance, both slow and cruise flight?

That round tip wing comes down like a tri-pacer when the power is pulled off, and in cruise, the 0-300 just barely keeps it " on the step", at around 100kts @ 75%

I upgraded to m5 wings from round tip m4. I can fly probably 5 to 10 mph slower. I didn't notice this step thing as I have a io360. It was a 140mph plane at altitude with 850s and round tips and a constant speed mac. M5 wing slowed me to like 130 with 850s and 115/120 with 30's. I like the 5 wing much better for getting in short with a load it made a HUGE difference. My 5 wing also has VGs so that accounts for some of it. I'd do it if your underpowered it will help, but before I dumped more than 1000 bucks into some wing extensions I would find a io360. I see them sometimes for between 4 and 6k. Get a used mac 80" c203 prop for around 3k off a cessna and your good to go. The aluminum cowl will work with the 360 but won't cool as well. Skymaster has a 360d get a donor engine. I might just so happen to have two 360's available of we can't get our skymaster electrical issues solved , will know this summer

Thanks, but I am not doing Anymore projects.

Might consider tips depending on the performance affects.

Anyone out there put them on an M4?
