I would bet it's not an STC is it? I would think it would be on the TC, which would make it easier to have installed.

Unless I'm mistaken the strut replaces the slide mechanism, every thing else is the same. I've seen one, but didn't pay real close attention to it.

Here is a home made one, You can normally get one at your local Auto parts stor for less than $100.00 or you can go through Avaition distrobution and pay more.... Or find one you can barrow!

The window is pulled over centre, however because of forces of nature and force of entry there is still a pin.
On new aircraft there is a much improved pin, and pull handle.

Retro-fitable but a touch of welding to be done.

Thank you! It sure do make a difference in what you can see!! All I need now is a SKYLIGHT!!!! and sea plane doors and 500 more HP!!!! :shock: :shock:

The new pull handle is an inverted U shape about 1.5" on the legs and 2.5" across the top. the legs are fed through the top of the square channel on about a 45deg and welded/brazed at the bottom.
The catch is a vertical bolt with spring on top that slides in a barrel that is welded/brazed to the square channel. A handle protrudes from a vertical groove.

I have a picture but trying to follow both of the picture posting instructions offered (thankyou) the computer nearly went out the window!!!
