Speeds with Large and Small Tyres

Post by Yadama »

Hi All

Does anyone have any knowledge on the speeds with larger and smaller tyres? I am currently running 29in Alaskans on my M5-235 and i see 116 KTS, what could i expect with standard 8.00's?

Check this thread: http://maulepilots.org/forums/viewtopic ... peed+tires

Roughly 10 mph going from 8.50 to 29 or3_. Not something I have experience in but lots of reading doing a search of airspeed AND tires.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I'd like to throw in another related question. What kind of speed different with the 3" extended gear? And how much of a different with the gear covering on and off?
