Taildragger Tiedown
OK, my MX7-180 is hangared when I'm at home, but on the road it often gets tied down outside. I'm good to go with the wing tie downs, but the tail has always been a bugaboo. There is always grease around the edge of the moving plates on the tailwheel and that seems to get all over any tie down I use. Does anybody have a clever way of securing the tailwheel that doesn't get grease all over the rope or nylon strap? Or do you just clean the grease off every time before securing the plane?
