Out of rig

M7T-235, just picked up from extensive annual where all control cables were replaced and new engine was installed. Aircraft flies remarkably out of rig (3 balls), requiring LEFT pedal to bring the ball back in when in cruise. Changed the anti-yaw cable adjustments and now is 1.5 balls out. Then changed the rudder cables; that did nothing except the rudder pedals are no longer even.
When sitting on the ramp the nose wheel (sigh) lines up visibly straight when the rudder and anti-yaw tab are in alignment and ailerons square with wing tips. Flaps look in alignment.

What to do next? Continue to change the anti-yaw interconnect? Any other theories? I've heard rumors that the engine change could be responsible... what to look for there?

I'm flying back to the mechanic in the morning and I want to get this resolved once and for all, so your quick suggestions most appreciated.
