i just refigured mine for the 29" bushwheels. also had to do test flights loaded to the most FWD and most AFT CG from stall speed to full speed. required for field approvals- but it was fun to go play with stalls and slow steep banks at very different W&B configs. its ridiculous how many sand bags you have to load into the back of a maule to get it to aft CG  all the cub guys were amazed. 8)

I found this calculator surfing the web.

I have been using it for a year. Just plug in the #'s.
It is quick and dependable.

W&B calculator

Post by TomD »

I have a pretty nice calculator which is pretty flexible and simple to use.

If anyone wants a copy, send me a PM w/ your email.

I agree that you probably need to weigh your bird at some time. My W&B was off considerably after all the additions and subtractions over the years.

Remember the leveling lug under the wing. If you ignore this or it goes away ( as mine did during a wing re-skinning ) the W&B can be pretty ugly.
