Short landing and Take off question for Jeremy A.

Post by Isaac »

Jeremy,

When you made your short 80 something foot landing at the Gulkana air show what was your shortest take off?

On a different note do you think the M4 180v wing would noticeable improve performance over the old m4 wing(assuming you could obtain some sort of approval)? It appears to have more surface area and a longer wing.

Thanks in advance.

For takeoff and landing, the longer wing improves the M4 performance.
Maule has approval to change the M4 wing I believe. The longer wing will, however, diminish cruise speed.
As I remember I blew one of my takeoffs badly which changed the overall result and though it was an M5-235, it had the old, least performing 78" Hartzell prop.
