Hello. Looking at changing from an M5 235C to an M7 235C mostly to modernise and get a bit extra cruise speed.
I understand the M7 will get along a bit quicker but was wondering if it has a higher Yellow Arc / Rough air speed. I have also been told the M5 wing is nicer in Roll. And from what I can gather, the M7 can be a bit more of a challenge on landing. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers

I went from M5 to M7 about 5 years ago to make it out of my home lake easier. 10 knots in stall makes a big difference coming off the water. However, if I didn't have to come out of this lake, I would have stayed with the M5. Much snappier in roll and almost 10 knots faster in cruise.
This won't be a fair comparison, but I have an M5-235 on floats and fly a nose wheel MXT7-180 in the winter. M5 is faster but not a fair comparison - more HP, but dragging the floats with it. M5 every bit as responsive a M7, even with floats.
