Hope to see you then. Will camping under the wing be permitted?
Sure. You are welcome to. I'll be there, but if you send me a message before you come, I can give you some more details on the programme.

Am I correct? Sint-Truiden (Brustem) airfield, EBST, in Belgium is scheduled for 11 to 13 September, there will be a grass strip available and camping is OK? Well, somebody has to be a bit slow!!

STOL more like!

Dates are correct, there will be both hard and soft runways available, camping under wing, barbecue and beer!

Safe flights, Sam.

12-13 Sept preparations are under way

Busy organising the bar and bbq this week, more details nearer the time but it's looking like:

Sat afternoon, fun in the air
Sat evening, fun on the ground
Sun morning, gentle start
Sun midday, departures home...

Anyone who want to arrive earlier or leave later is more than welcome.

Safe flights, Sam.

Delayed until next year!

Post by Sam Rutherford »

Dear All,

I am very sorry, but we have run into a problem (very last minute!) with the operators at the field. They have told us that they don't have the time to be part of the organistation - which means no local facilities will be available.

Rather than go ahead and have a half-hearted affair, we have decided to cancel this year's event, and try again next year.

Muddling through, whilst tempting, is not really a solution.

See you in the skies, and see you in Belgium in 2010!

Safe flights, Sam.

Is this an annual event

Post by Undaunted »

I will be in Europe this fall and came across this old thread.

Does anyone know if there is still an annual European Fly In?

Also are there any Maule pilots in the western Germany area, I would love to get together there if possible.

I'm afraid not - after our attempt there was not enough interest - and then I sold my MX7 (although I'm going to see her again in November which I'm really looking forward to!).

Cheers, Sam.
