Maule East Coast Flyin

Post by Mauleflyer »

Planning an informal Maule get together for Northeast Maule flyers during the annual Sentimental Journey flyin in Lockhaven, PA (KLHV). The dates of the flyin are June 18-22. This flyin is great, just show up and they do the rest. Camping, shower facilities and rest rooms, food, entertainment, spot landing contest etc. Airport is in town so they are hotels and car shuttle services. There will be a lot of other taildraggers there, mostly yellow, but they enjoy company. My contact 267-515-4520 for more information.

I’ll be on floats so I’ll miss this one. I enjoy remote area fishing but miss a lot
Of events in summer. Looking at August for a trip to Montana and Idaho, so will be back on wheels by then. Enjoy!

I have a wedding the evening prior, but I told my little lady that we may have to cut the wedding short, as I remember this event being very wonderful. 1940's music playing throughout, nice evening dance and plenty to enjoy. You will leave with a warm heart and a smile. :D Very nice event to bring your better half.

If this list keeps growing I may have to bring a tent just to hang out and meet every one. :D

Decisions, decisions. I plan on flying my cub there this year but the M-5 would certainly be a lot faster. Anyway weather permitting, which is always the case, I hope to see everyone there.

Rain and low IFR kept most away unfortunately. Randy Kilmore organised the get together and was there all week with his M5-235. Tom Moore and son Jeff were both there with the M5-210 they recovered and painted. They and I with my M5-235 showed up on Friday as soon as the weather allowed. Bob Gurh showed up on Saturday with his M6-235. I'll try and get some pictures hosted. It was nice to meet some fellow Maule drivers. Wish the weather would have allowed some more to show and some time for flying together.
