2018 KAWO Arlington Fly-In July 6-8

Post by RadarRoom »

How many of y'all will be flying into Arlington this year. It is July 6-8. I will be flying in, in my M4 and will be working in the Temporary tower.

I'll be there as well. New VGs so you can't kid me about having naked wings anymore.

Any thoughts on getting a Maule section for parking?

That sounds fun, anyone know how to go about doing that.

Ok, here is the deal.

I emailed the flyin administration and just talked to them on the phone.

By about this Friday there should be a MAULE window sign available on Flying IN area of the fly in page: http://www.arlingtonflyin.org/aircraft-parking-signs/

Before you come to the Fly-in read the Notam and download the windshield sign. When you land hold it up in the window and ground crew will direct you to the Maule parking area.

I told the lady that I was guessing about ten aircraft to 15 at the outside.

To help them out please respond to me on this BB if you are coming and on what day(s) they will try to hold our spaces as long as possible but need to have a realistic estimate of the number.

Hope to see a bunch of you there.

Tom

I'll be there from the day before to the day after since I'm working in the tower.

You certainly will be the first there. Display your Maule parking sign proudly.

If we announce color/color Maule on approach, do we get expedited service?

We are live at: http://www.arlingtonflyin.org/aircraft-parking-signs/

Get your window/windshield signs and see you there.

Let me know when you decide if you are going so I can pass on the info to the administration of the fly-in.

Noah and I (Alan) will be there, arriving Thursday around 5pm ish and departing Saturday morning. Look for the orange M5 with black diamonds on the cowl.

I just saw the Maule parking sign on The Arlington website http://www.arlingtonflyin.org/wp-conten ... _MAULE.pdf great job.... let’s hope it’s a good spot they give us.
I am coming in for sure, haven’t deceided yet whether it will be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.
Christine

Ps. It looks like the under the wing camping sites have moved, has anyone figured it out already where exactly on the field it is?

Our Parking area in number 14, in case any of y’all arrive when there aren’t marshalers, I’m parked on the far end, so my walk to the tower won’t be as far. And there’s some Cessna that doesn’t belong on the other end. Hope to see you all soon.

To any of you who is already in KAWO. Is the Maule parking area in the section next to vintage aircraft?. Did anyone take a picture to publish ? Standing in front of the little t-hangars, where is it ?
How many Maule’s are there yet? I am most likely arriving tomorrow afternoon before the airshow or the latest Saturday morning.
