For all you folks near to NC (or want a really long lunch run), Thinking about heading over to the Pic N Pig (BQ1) next Saturday 8/26 for a little lunch.

I know, planning this far out leaves ourselves open to weather problems but trying to get the word out for people to plan. Just trying to round up as many Maulers (and friends of Maulers) as we can..

CaseyM, good chance to meet fellow Maulers. How about you TrooperDan. Hey CaptnKirk, you working? Bring your buddy with that two place taildragger.
How about you VA Maule, and bring your friends. Andy, you guys still flying. Drag your Maule buddy along. I know I have left a bunch out but at my age...well you know. Just head on over.

I would love to come from Knoxville, but have to be in Nashville that day. Please keep me in mind for another day.

I am scheduled to work. Andy did offer to buy my lunch for taking him to pick up his plane after the ads install. I played hooky last week to move my son to college . Odds don't look good for me making it.

Darn Kirk, don't let work get in the way of food and friends. (says one who doesn't have a job)

Gbarrier I just don't know what we're going to do about these folks that think working is anywhere near as important as messing around with little airplanes and NO Captnkirk the big ones that burn kerosene don't count.

I would love to pig next weekend.... unfortunately I have to work also. I could go Sunday if that's an option.

I'm waiting to find out if I'm scheduled to be on-call Saturday, Gary. I'll know tomorrow. I owe Kirk lunch at the Pig for flying me to Cheraw to pick up my Maule after the ESG installation. My wife can't get in an out of the Maule yet since she's still recovering from double hip replacement in June. If I go by myself, I'll probably get a lot of flak so don't count on me for this Saturday.

These pesky jobs get in the way of the $100 barbecue outings!

Southern BBQ with Carolina BBQ sauce??? Damn near worth flying there for it.

Put another zero after the $100 hamburger, however.

Looks like the sky is falling here for Saturday (tomorrow) too. Don't want to beat VA Maule out of lunch tomorrow but would anyone be more available Sunday or next weekend?

Done deal. Best $150 BBQ the grandson and I have had since the last time. Good visit with VA Maule too. Andy, looks like I spoke without consulting my social director about next weekend and can't make it but hope you can put a gang together.
