High Sierra 2015

Post by Flyhound »

The High Sierra Fly-in has its own Facebook page and lots of coverage on the Backcountry Pilot website, but adding a couple of pictures here can't hurt. I counted 3 Maules at this year's fly-in, but there might have been more. I arrived late and left early (because of weather around my home base), so I could have missed some. I'd heartily encourage all Maule pilots, even those with small tires and smaller engines (like my MX7-180) to attend this fabulous event. I've been home for more than a week and I'm still smiling. The glow from this event lasts longer than Oshkosh or Sun-N-Fun!

I believe I counted 8 Maules in attendance, and yes this years event was in a new and better venue.
The advent of the well organized 'drag racing' event is a very interesting concept.
