Shelby Fly In

Well I've managed a weekend off. Oct 24 Shelby (EHO) is having their annual fly in. I plan on being there with my Maule, I'll be helping with our CAP group also. They have some of the cheapest fuel around and there is food planned. At this point weather looks good you all come now .

Well I get a weekend off and the weather turns ugly. Vis was good but the ceilings where low till around noon. Finally made it to Shelby got some of the cheap gas and a goodie bag (pen coffee mug and a keybob). I think they had maybe 10 people make it in. Had a BBQ sandwich an ice cream and headed home. Get home start mowing the yard and the sun makes an appearance. No rest for the wicked I guess. They are calling for what's left of that hurricane to give us some rain later in the week. The wife had wanted to go to the beach but that doesn't look good now.

Sounds like a good man just can't win. At least you're not driving 10 hours down the interstate today. But I will get my lady home.

Sorry Chris didn't take any nothing out of the ordinary just a couple of Cessna and a Grumman tiger. Gary we went to a wedding in Doylestown last summer we stopped in VA on the way. Made a little vacation out of the trip not so bad.

It's not so bad of a ride and good chance to visit. She has been there five out of the last six weeks and the one she came home it was on Sunday and I left for Sim on Wednesday. By the time I got home she had gone back. Otherwise I was here. Got home last night and looks like I might dash out on a four day gig midweek. But then I'll be back.

Weather looked bad so I skipped the Shelby fly-in. Flew over your place yesterday, Kirk, but the hangar looked empty so I guess you were flying around before the rain arrived.

Andy it was there just pushed in the back. We took a sunday drive up the Blue Ridge to check out the leaves with a stop in Boone for dinner. I loaded up with that cheap gas at the fly in so I need a reason to burn some of it. If the weather breaks a bit I'll try to make it to HKY one day.
