the Great Aviation Migration

Post by jsperin »

Anyone planning on attending the Aviation Migration at Lee Bottom (64I) The weekend of the 18th?

I am planning on arriving Friday night and camping until Sunday morning.

It would be good to see some other Maules there.

Looks like the weather on Friday should be good, Saturday is calling for a chance of rain. We will be arriving Friday evening. A buddy of mine is coming down Saturday in his Maule to camp tell Sunday.

Weather in northern Illinois looks shaky but I think we'll still make it on Friday.

The great Aviation Migration happened this last weekend at Lee Bottom Flying Field (64I) The turnout was a little light due to some weather that rolled through the midwest on Friday and Saturday. The flight home Sunday was a beautiful day 100 miles visibility and smooth rides. Meet up with Dick W. and had a good time. Another friend of mine was finally able to make it down in his M7-235 with family in tow after waiting out the weather for half a day on Saturday. Here are a couple of pictures:
