Looks as if the Backcountry Pilot group punted on a fly in this year.
We are looking at Johnson creek again as a base for playing in the back country. Probably last week in June before July 4th crowds.
I think the Supercub group shows up the weekend before.

If a group of friends decide to camp together, I don't see the harm.
BCP had over 100 planes last time it was at JC and I can see the Idaho Aviation dept's issue with two 100+ plane fly ins on succeeding weekends. It really beats up the facility.
Last year we went the week ending on July 4th and there was a lot of people there but nowhere near 100 planes.
Going much later starts putting you into fire season. I don't know what the snow pack is in ID, but if it is anything like the Central Cascades it is going to be really dry.
