I have been trying to post an update for the fly-in however, my entire text will not show up in the preview window of the submit window. Has anyone experienced this? I have entered the text directly in to the edit window and I have also typed it in Word then copy and pasted with no success. :(

On Ralph's behalf:

Maule Pilots Pacific Northwest Fly-in

Not sure if I am over thinking this or not, I am certainly open to suggestions.
Fly In August, 22nd, 23rd and 24th, this will allow for nice warm weather to enjoy the river.

OK, here’s the deal, Destination is Shady Cove Airpark (OG31) about 9 miles north of the Rogue Valley VOR (OED) which is just North of Medford International Airport. http://www.aopa.org/airports/OG31
2600’ Grass strip runway 18/36
Parking at North end of runway 36. A parking diagram will be provided
No services provided at airport.

The town of Shady Cove is a five-minute drive from the airport. However, I am working on a shuttle system to pick people up and get them to the Edgewater Hotel in town if they are staying over. My wife and I stayed there many times while building our home in 2012. Rates are very reasonable and they have some rooms with kitchenettes. Early reservations are recommended, they have a 24 hour in advance of arrival, 100% cancellation policy.
Continental breakfast at the Edgewater Hotel is provided.

Once in town, everything is within very short walking distance. The town of Shady Cove is small but has a variety of activities.

I am thinking two, ½ days of organized events that spouses can join in.
Day 1 and Day 2 actual dates will depend on who is coming and arrival time estimates.

Day 1; Afternoon river float (4 hours)
Rafting the Upper Rogue River: Very easy and fun way to see the river!
Rapid Pleasure Rafting http://www.rapidpleasurerafting.com

(No-host)Dinner at Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant

Day 2; Afternoon Bar-B-Cue
The Mailloux’ Residence
1030 Anglers Place
Shady Cove, OR

Other activities:
Fishing
Fishing ½ Day or full day:

Wine Tasting Tour: Contact Carmel at the Edgewater Hotel

Any other ideas would be appreciated!

Yes, the dates are set. If those who are planning to attend could indicate which dates and what events you would like to participate in and if you are bringing a significant other, that would be helpful especially so I can plan the food at our home. My wife and I will provide the food however we ask that you BYOB. Please review the earlier post (below) regarding hotel, fishing and rafting. I will reserve the rafts which accommodate 4-8 people and are really fun to float the upper Rogue River, the hotel fills up fast and the fishing does also.

Well it appears that there are conflicting events during the proposed dates and also an issue of low water levels on the Rogue River, so I will attempt to set something up next year. For locals there is a fly-in at Prospect (64S) on Saturday and Sunday, BBQ and breakfast July 12 & 13.

At this point I have only one confirmed attendee, you, so it appears that another date needs to be considered in the future. Sorry..
