North Texas Maule Meet Sept 14, 2013

Post by AndrewK »

Just wanted to share the details of our plan for the 14th of this month in case you are not on the email list but looking for an excuse to fly.
Meet at Texas Aerosport (X65) at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. See : http://www.airnav.com/airport/X65. It's a nice 3200' grass strip located just SW of the Sherman TX Municipal (SWI).
From there, we will fly as a group to Cedar Mills (3T0) up on Lake Texhoma. See: http://www.airnav.com/airport/3T0. Cedar Mills has a 3000' grass strip. We will park and walk to the Pelican Landing Restaurant for lunch. See: http://cedarmills.com/pelicansLanding.htm.

After lunch, we can discuss the grass strips we will hit in the afternoon. There are several in the area or we can head to the Greenville, TX area and hit Rockin' M Airport (http://www.airnav.com/airport/T14), Weese International (http://www.airnav.com/airport/XS14) both just approximately 5 miles south of Majors Field in Greenville and possibly over to the John R. Armstrong Memorial Field (http://www.airnav.com/airport/67TX) just South of Emory, TX. The afternoon is up in the air so just come ready to fly and we can work out the details.

Looking forward to seeing everyone...
Also, if you are not on the Lone Star Maules email list and would like to be for future notifications PM me your email address and we'll get you added.

I am quite jealous of the Texas Maule Get-Togethers!

Take lots of pictures so I can dream I was there!

The scenery won't compete with yours but hopefully we'll be able to share some Maule action footage.

Just wanted to say it was great seeing everyone again and meeting those who I haven't met before. Hope everyone got home or on to their next destination alright and I look forward to next time.

For those that couldn't make it out stay tuned for some GREAT pictures and video once everything is compiled.

Take care,
Andrew
