Wish I could join in. Born in Abilene at Dyess AFB and lived in Austin for many years. Love the country around Llano.
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

I'm in! It will be my first fly-in to attend so how much more appropriate than the First Annual Maule Fly-In in TX. My M5 certainly won't win any beauty contest out there, but it's mine and its paid for. The cosmetic adjustments will come with time. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

P.S. I Live at NW Regional (52F), so if you ever stop by the Blue Hanger for a burger, give me a call. 817-239-6265

If you leave now you'll make it with plenty of time to spare, and warm up a little while down here. :D

Ya'll remember to check the other thread to see the current RSVP List of those going and the list of POTENTIALS (that have expressed an interest). I will be updating it when I get the word from pilots.

See thread titled: First Annual "LONE STAR MAULE ROUNDUP" and look at the bottom of the INITIAL posting.

Cheers !

Thank you for the referral; however, we have already finalized the LOGO (and it is awesome !). Working on finishing up the front logo and then we will post up for pre-orders at COST.

October 2013 fly-ins

Post by AndrewK »

While we're "saving dates" for fly-ins, just wanted to list a few Texas events coming up later in the year (when it cools down) that could make for a great excuse to get some Maules together:

September 14 TXAerosport (X65), Cedar Mills (3T0) and where ever else we feel like flying.
More details here: http://www.maulepilots.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=26066

October 4-5 Ranger (F23) 85th anniversary fly-in/airshow.
Grass airstrip.
http://rangerairfield.org/category/7/

October 10-12 AOPA Summit in Ft. Worth.
http://www.aopa.org/summit/

October 11-13 Gainesville (GLE) Texas Antique Airplane Association Fall Festival of Flight.
Grass and hard surface available.
http://www.texasantiqueairplane.com/flyin.html

October 18-20 Cedar Mills (3T0) Fly-in/Splash-in.
Grass or water.
http://cedarmills.com/airfield.htm

October 19-20 Llano (KAQO) Grass strip fly-in and camp-out.
Grass and hard surface available.
http://www.airnav.com/airport/KAQO (couldn't find a direct link to the event)

October 25-27 Flying M Ranch, better known as "Reklaw" (7TA7) annual fly-in/camp-out.
Grass airstrip.
http://www.reklawflyin.com/

I am sure there are others but those are the bigger ones I am familiar with. As you can see, October is "Fly-In month" and there will be something to do each weekend so lets get ready!

Just a bump for any new Texas or surrounding area members not subscribed to the mailing list.

I am planning on heading up to Cedar Mills next weekend for their fly-in if anyone wants to meet up.
