Anyone Flying to Oshkosh?

Post by Aerobatix »

We are planning to fly up to Oshkosh. Anyone else flying in? We plan to leave early Tuesday 24th from SW Florida. It;s about 1000 miles and we're hoping to do it in a day. May need to stop overnight if weather gets in the way.

Anyhow, would be cool to see some other Maule drivers!

Let me know if you're coming....

I'm in Green Bay and will be driving to Oshkosh. I'd like to connect with other Maule owners and will watch this topic.

I will be camping in the Maule and my buddy should be beside me in his Cessna 180. We are planning to be there Monday - Thursday

I plan on getting to OSH Sunday night or Monday morning. I will head back west Thursday.

So do we all want to meet and say hi face to face. How, when, where.

I would suggest Tuesday we go to the outside deck at the Hilton for lunch and drinks. Then later meet to watch the air show. Aeroshell square out towards 18-36 where you watch the show. I can ware my BCP tee shirt.

The Hilton is on the north side of the airport. You can ride the shuttle bus to the Hilton.

We have 12 guys from the BackcountryPilot site.

If you want to be included in any meet and greet events be sure to trade mobile numbers. At OSH I will mass text every mobile number I get here a update on meeting time and place.

Trade numbers???

I'm planning to be there all week and have a trailer at the northwest corner of Knapp and Lindbergh. That's the southeast corner of Paul's Park. It's close the the Theater in the Woods and a pretty good spot for watching the shows.

Here's a pretty good map:

I'll be happy to meet for lunch at the Hilton on Tuesday and our group will be welcome to my place in the late afternoon for drinks and Maule talk.

My phone is nine two xero 217-3205.

I'm here. Actually in the Radisson in Appleton. Airplane at the airport, I will take it to OSH on Sunday. Arrival procedure has me a little baffled though. Need to study it more. Is there a video online on the arrival procedure?

Hi Bill, it was good to meet you and your dad too. As a matter of fact it was great to meet everybody. Hope to see you at Creede too.
