Triple Tree Fly-In - Woodruff, SC (SC00)

Post by LT4247 »

The 5th Annual Triple Tree Fly-In will be held this year on Sept. 7-11th.

http://www.tripletreeflyin.com/

It looks like a really pretty place with a 7000' turf runway! We will have our vendor booth set up there with our Maule in static display and one other aircraft coming with us from the plant. We are flying in on Thursday the 8th and will be camping for the duration of the event.

Come enjoy a nice fly-in and visit us at the booth for the latest on new Maule aircraft. We look forward to seeing you there!

7000' turf runway
Are they flying 737's into there? That is a seriously long runway.

Looks fun, but a bit far away from the Pacific Northwest.

Have fun.

Finally made it to Triple Tree on Friday while flying back from my annual with Maule Flight. It was good to talk to LT4247. I think we may have been the only two Maules there. It was a beautiful day and a great airport. Wish I could have camped overnight but I had paying customers waiting for flights on Saturday and Sunday morning. That's the biggest and nicest grass runway that I've ever seen. Lots of interesting airplanes were there. It would make a great East Coast Maule fly-in site.

Maule Flight did a great job on the annual, as always. They rebuilt the oleo struts and Maule SFS-P8B tailwheel among other things. I was getting some tailwheel shimmy under heavy loads but it's gone now.
