August '11 Maule Gathering??? Minam Lodge?

Hi Maule drivers,
Just looking through some old pictures of our Maule fly-ins during the early 2000....
Would be fun to have a weekend at Minam Lodge again sometimes during the first part of August.

Is anybody interested?

Sounds fun to me. I might stop there for a night on the way to Johnson
creek on June 15.

Sounds good to us. What weekend? Count us in. We get in there 2-3 X a year. Always a good time. Watch out for Speed Bump the white horse, that jumps fences at will to get to the strip. He'll move out of the way. I wonder if the strip is flooded with all this snow melt and high water? They usually open Memorial Day Weekend.

Well, I won't get my schedule ntil the 22nd of July but I would bid off for it... Just looking for opportunities to fly and visit with some other pilots. Right now i didnt get off for The BCP flyin but The 27-30.June so maybe after The BCP flyin would be good too...

Just an FYI the Joseph airport will be closed as of Aug 1 for renovation but Enterprise will be open with Fuel. If I can get my plane out or have it stashed out some where I would be in for the Minam run....

I like the idea, but those of us who have Mon-Fri work schedules might not be able to do a mid week fly in.

Has the big mud hole with the rocks been filled in at the Minam strip? I remember having to land long to miss that last time there. It was dry but the rocks were still there.

I'd LOVE to go. I live close by, about 35 minutes. I've never been there but have been wanting to go. How do we get permission?

I don't know if I can make a Thursday though. I don't have the sort of job I can just miss a day but who knows?
