Just around the corner. I am headed over Friday the 17th to hang out with my Super Cub friends. I will be in the area till Sunday June 26th.

If you have never been to Johnson Creek do yourself a favor and get there. This is the crown jewel of the lower 48. IMO

Cheers...Rob

I think I'm in. Making arrangements for a good co-pilot 8) .

What type of facilities, if any are there? Does the strip have a website?

From the pictures it looks like, in good weather, a pretty easy strip to work with if a pilot takes into account the density altitude and mountain wind forces.

Johnson Creek is back country luxury camping.

Two hot (most of the time) showers, multiple bathrooms, wireless connection ( most of the time ) near the manager's place , land line telephone...bring calling card since you cannot dial long distance without one., and good water. Firewood is available.

Bring good anchor type tie downs.

No website just a webcam. http://www.ruralnetwork.net/~yellowpinecm/

Sounds great. The lady friend I intend to bring is a good sport (and a good pilot) but I'm sure she'd appreciate running water and a place to pee that does not involve a pine tree.
