Well...looks like Sat morning (early) for us. Wife isn't getting back from the east coast until late Fri evening. Try to save me a spot in Maule-ville, fellas.
Also....who is doing the Poker Run? Looked like a great time last year so I'm planning on it.

I've got the wife talked into it, she's not an enthusiastic flyer, but she's a great camper. We're bringing my boys as well. I'm hoping for good weather!

Here's a second on the weather. AND a second on the breakfast get together. Thank you for starting that several years ago Roger. Always a lot of fun seeing everyone in the flesh.

Same from Fairbanks, and enjoyed the show... Didn't get the telephone call on the cub though? :( Anyone hear who won it, hope it was a local?

You guys have fun in Valdez... While I work... :( Be safe! A cub with two aboard went down out that way yesterday. Both OK. Don't add any Maules to the list of casualties!!!

We want pictures!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Why do they have you guys in the Bush class? Seems like with the upgross... the 4s and 5s should be in the Heavy Touring class.

BTW... what is the lt. touring mod on the tail?? Lt. Touring X wing mod??

Results of the STOL competition are here: http://valdezalaska.org/events/flyIn/flyIn.html

Great job by everyone. AKLoon took second in the heavy touring! Chet Harris would have won the award for consistency had there been one and managed some pretty impressive TOL numbers at that!

Real fun time with the "usual suspects" again this year and good to meet some new faces. Great flying and camaraderie is what it is all about.

A very good show, good time, good wx and good flying.
If one takes an average of both of each competitors attempts, then Chet and AKloon were 1st and 2nd in heavy touring class ahead of the winner.
Fine flying,... and Congratulations gentlemen.
As always I learned many things.

Thanks a bunch, gents. I'm sorry I didn't get over to hang with you guys at all, I had two little boys to wrangle when I wasn't flying. They had a blast though, I'm sure we'll be back next year. Maybe I can make it harder for Paul to earn that $1000 of Bushwheel credit.

My wife didn't get any pictures of the Looney-bird flying. If anyone has video or pictures I'd love to see them.
Thanks,
Dave
