I wouldn't say it's the first time as we have customer that's pretty much flown around world in a C185 providing doctor services... He had some very interesting experiences over Libya several years ago in that he got caught low fuel situation in a windstorm, had to land, ended up landing at one of Quadafi's Military Fields which was closed due to blowing sand. Was surrounded by armed military, fortunately as a doctor, had treated some of Quadafi's military individuals at some point in past. He got to meet Quadafi personally, and they ended up being most helpful, but things were quite tense and exciting for awhile!! I'd be interested in hearing about experiences after you're done with trip, sounds like fun!!
